tell me something about this
Mainstream Christianity is forever calling for revival, but just as soon as they claim to have achieved it, it proves to be based on emotion and short lived. Why?
Paul wrote, "But you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if it is so that the spirit of Elohim dwells in you. But if any man does not have the spirit of Messiah, he is not His" (Rom. 8:9). In other words, those who do not have the holy spirit are not children of Elohim. This begs the question, "How does one receive the holy spirit?" Peter addressed this in Acts 2:38 where he states, "...Repent, and be immersed, every one of you, in the name of Yeshua Messiah for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the holy spirit." So, in order to be a child of Elohim, one must repent and keep the commandments of Elohim, which of course includes the biblical Sabbath. The truth is that without repentance there can be no revival.
Thus, not only do those who refuse to repent for breaking the commandments of Elohim have no true expectation of revival, but they are in danger of losing the holy spirit and and their relationship with Elohim. Paul states, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of Elohim in Messiah Yeshua toward you. Do not quench the spirit" (1 Thess. 5:18-19).
