“The main purpose of this forum is for the dissemination of reports from Israel of the new moon and the status of the maturity of the barley there. Discussions here should pertain only to this system of calendation (i.e., fresh visible crescent from Israel as the sign to start the month / aviv barley as a sign to start the year), and not other systems. If you would like to debate/discuss other calendars, there are a plethora of other forums available to do so - please don't bring the debates here.
“Basically, if you want reports of sightings of the visible crescent from Israel, this is one place to find them.
“If you want reports of the maturity of the barley, the figs, the flowers, the return of the birds, lambings, etc that mark the new year, this is the place to find them.
“If you want to suggest a different form of what constitutes the Biblical New Moon, this is NOT the place to do so.
“If you want to share the view that the crescent becoming visible beyond the realm of Israel constitutes the Biblical New Moon, this is NOT the place to do so.
“PLEASE NOTE: The promotion of “lunar sabbath,” the so-called “Enoch calendar,” and other such aberrations will not be tolerated here.
