"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
but the glory of kings is to search out a matter."

True Revival
by Stephen Otto
Mainstream Christianity often calls for revival, but whenever it appears to be achieved, it quickly proves to be based on emotion and is short-lived. Why is this the case?
Paul wrote, "But you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, he is not His" (Rom. 8:9). In other words, those who do not have the holy spirit are not considered children of God.
This raises the question: How does one receive the holy spirit? Peter addressed this in Acts 2:38, where he states, "...Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yeshua Messiah for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the holy spirit." Therefore, to be a child of God, one must repent and keep His commandments, which include observing the biblical seventh-day Sabbath. Thus, the truth is that without genuine repentance, there can be no true revival.
